My name is Jess, nice to meet you!

I am a freelance writer with a background in marketing, communications, and public relations.

I have a Communications and Sociology BA from York University. I also hold a Corporate Communication certificate from Cornell and Indigenous Canada certificate from University of Alberta. As a lifelong learner with insatiable curiosity, I’m currently working towards a Publishing certificate at TMU.

I recently worked with a tourism destination marketing organization growing the tourism sector by developing impactful content and partnerships. My professional background also includes work at a not-for-profit organization to develop the arts and tourism sector, and marketing documentary films while working with talented creators and filmmakers.

During my time as a Small Business Consultant I had the honour of assisting entrepreneurs with developing business plans and marketing strategies to launch and grow their businesses.

I am also a seasoned retail entrepreneur, having co-founded a lifestyle brand as well as a vintage wedding trade show.

Over the years, my work has been featured in national media outlets including the National Post, Globe and Mail, Chatelaine, Style at Home, Glow Magazine, YorkRegion.com, Toronto Star, Today's Parent and more.
